New Server Hardware
5 minutes ago we swapped over to a brand new faster server.

The service outage was less than 1 minute but the new server has a new IP address that might take some time to propagate thru to your local DNS server if it has a long cache timeout.

FavoriteSync update
I have recieved a few questions about the current state of FavoriteSync:

FavoriteSync is not in active development anymore and has not been so for the past half year or so. This is partly due to the limited time the developers have and partly due to the fact that it is a "semi - nonprofit" (barely surviving to pay for the server from subscriptions) effort. It might have been possible to steeply increase the fee and provide more support but the current thinking is to keep it as cheep as possible and live with the current set of issues.

Having said that, there is no plan to shut down the current service which has (with the exception of the 06-07 new years weekend) been highly available throughout its operation.

There might still be future extensions, modifications to the software but there is nothing currently planned.

Step 3. After all things done, click the Start button to begin the conversion
When the conversion is completed, click Open Folder to located the converted DVD file on your computer and just drag them to you iPad.

Tips:
A. If you want to add the converted DVD files to iPad through iTunes please make sure your have the iTunes 9.1 or above at first, then follow these steps:
1. Connect your iPad to computer with the USB cable.
2. Open iTunes and wait for it to recognize your iPad.
3. Locate the converted videos and drag them into your iTunes library.
4. Depending on your configuration, auto-sync should begin.
5. If not, then manually select whatever features you like to sync your iPad with and press the Sync button.
B. Allows Crop DVD video to remove black bars, Trim DVD title or chapter to convert your favorite clips only and add watermark to movie video
C. Enjoy the built-in DVD player and take snapshot, Fine-tune video and audio settings manually.

Part 2. How to convert video files to iPad with iPad Video Converter

The PlainOldFavorites plugin has now been tested and will from now on be the recomended way of integration with Firefox.

I recommend installing the Firefox Add-on "PlainOldFavorites". This Add-on will provide the Microsoft IE favorites within a drop-down menu and you can add, remove and modify your favorites from there. You will still have your bookmarks if you have them, but they will not synchronise with FavoriteSync.

You can download the Add-on from:

Your favorites will still sync and you will still have the benefits of FavoriteSync.

I hope this helps many others out there who have been annoyed that these guys have failed to provide a decent fix for Firefox version 2.x
